Stop Staring has become synonymous with Retro Clothing. The company has for many years now been at the forefront of the vintage-inspired classic style movement. Few, however, realize that the person that brought this successful company into realization is in fact a woman. Designer Alicia Estrada is the creator of all the iconic Stop Staring Vintage Clothing Styles as well as the founder. Alicia built the company from the bottom up with her own two hands, literally. It is therefore no surprise that Fashion Business Inc invited her to give a seminar during the Los Angeles International Textile Show this past Tuesday at the California Market Center. Alicia recounted her startup story to over a hundred people who found her story to be truly inspiring. The emotions she evoked from the crowd were obvious as she got bombarded by grateful fans who could not get enough at end of the event.
The Stop Staring! 2012 Fall/Winter Collection was completely amazing. The Cocktail Dresses, and vintage inspired assembles that hit the runway were all fabulous but the reception before the show was also something extraordinary. The night of March 12, 2012 the grounds of the Vibiana were packed with Stop Staring fans that flocked to downtown Los Angeles to show their support for their favorite Retro Clothing brand and enjoy the kick-off for Style Fashion Week LA in the process. While fans mingled in the former Cathedral’s courtyard limos and SUV’s with pitch black tinted windows dropped off various celebrities at the entrance of the Vibiana. These celebs were also there to show their support for Stop Staring! Press Pass LA was on site and ready to get the scoop on these stars, their thoughts on the event as well as their future plans, as they walked the red carpet. Amongst the celebs that were interview by Press Pass LA was Gretchen Rossi of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Kristin Bauer of True Blood, and Jamie Lynn Sigler of The Sopranos. All three of them looked radiant in their respective SS! Sexy Cocktail Dresses!

Alicia took the sexy look up a notch by offering see-through black floral lace Cocktail Dresses that were just amazing. In her customary style, Alicia provided us with a full range of options for all occasions. If see-through lace is not your cup of tea don’t worry. There were plenty of breathtaking plaid pieces that will leave you looking forward to those chilly days of Fall. This stunning collection made its debut at The Vibiana, former cathedral of Los Angeles, to a completely packed house. We hope you enjoy the runway show as much as the crowd that was present did!
Less than 24 hours after Stop Staring’s 2012 Fall/Winter Collection opened Style Fashion Week Los Angeles it has already made its appearance in several Fashion sites and started an all out Media frenzy. It seems that no one can get enough of the fabulous Retro Clothing. Not toot our own horn but this Collection was simply insane! It had all the classic retro charm Stop Staring is known for plus a new edgier twist. As Fashion News Live puts it;
“Stop Staring kept their “old glamour” feel and sent down the runway a collection that was sizzling! With a mixture of fur interplay, materials that look luxurious, and the way the garment drapes across a woman’s body, this collection can be worn to any evening soiree’ or summer party.”
The Collection offered more than just Cocktail Dresses; it had assembles for every imaginable occasion. Keeping true to that old saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” there is simply no way to fully describe and do justice to the garments with just words. The visual appeal would not be fully grasped otherwise. Since there is just no other way HERE are some of the amazing images of the garments as the models pranced down the catwalk directly from FashionNewsLive.com.
